Not really a recipe - I'm just here for the braggin'! :p

Literally JUST picked salad, of lettuces, herbs, and edible flowers from just outside my door.

A salad this fresh requires a simple dressing. Nothing more than a little freshly squeezed lemon, extra virgin olive oil, sea salt, and freshly cracked pepper. OH, heavenly!

Can you tell me what the flowers are that you have in the salad??

I cant indentify them.

There are lots of edible flowers; violets and nasturtiums are two varieties.

I cant indentify them.

they happen to be nasturtiums, but I have used others...marigolds, pansies, chive blossoms, etc

Really marigolds, i had no idea that they were edible.....see, learn somthing new everyday.

marigolds aka calendula are often used in topical preparations, like lotions, for their soothing properties. The double pom-pom versions in most people's backyards are more of a hybrid than the heirloom single version, but both are edible.
