Hello. I am a beginner gardener. This website and the Grow magazine is very helpful. I picked up the magazine two weeks ago and was hooked. It was very detailed with pictures and instructions. I couldn't put it down. I had strawberry plants from last year's season. I was wondering why they didn't have vibrant leaves this year. I read from the magazine to pinch off the starter flowers. I did that last week and the leaves are looking more alive and getting bigger now. Thank your for the inspiration to keep us from gardening.

Welcome fellow Puget Sound gardener! We need more of us here from the PNW.

The biggest thing to remember is that while the basics of gardening here and elsewhere are the same, the specifics are regional at best. So for timing etc. check out KitsapFG's and my blogs if you like.

I'd love to hear about what your plans are and what you're working with.

Patti and the folks here are great, welcome and let us know how we can help.

Welcome. Gardening is a continual learning process with new experiments every season. This year I planted 12 new heirloom varieties!
