Okay maybe I'm having a brainless moment...But if you pull the flower off the plant, will it still produce?

The stuffed squash looks fanastic and its something even the man in my life might try. But I didn't go squash crazy and would still like to have some veggies.

No. Squash flowers are so prolific and not every flower will turn into a squash so you might as well enjoy it. I've got a few flowers poping up daily. Once I see a few fruit starting to form I'll start harvesting flowers.

Will it work with birdhouse gourd flowers? Are they even edible? I have a huge birdhouse gourd crop coming in. =)
