Wild rice!

Any ideas on starting/ establishing A planting, Or is there A brown rice varity one can grow????

James ...My ancestors the Obijwe/Cree tribe has been growing and harvesting wild rice for ages. I've posted a link http://www.mnwildrice.com/riceinfo.htm that includes growing information as well as harvesting information BUT as you see it is an aquatic grass and requires a flooded area or bog area to grow.

Thanks so much for this information! I've been researching Native American agricultural practices and this is facinating. Please post any other links you know about pertaining to Native American Agricultural practices. It was interesting to find out that 3 out of 4 foods that we eat are Native American!
