I would like to grow my own green tea. I've googled and binged and came up with nothing. Any seed source suggestions? Thank you :D :o

since green tea (and all tea, for that matter,) comes from the Camellia plant, you might try a FLOWER gardening catalog, and look for Camellia sinensis.

an article on growing green tea at home (http://coffeetea.about.com/od/preparation/a/growingtea.htm)

a source for the plants (http://www.camelliashop.com/Tea_Plants_Camellia_Sinensis_s/1.htm)

PS, if you happen to be a tea lover, I'd love to do a "tea swap" with you! Or if you happen to be both a knitter and a tea lover, we could do a tea & yarn swap!

I've wanted to grow green tea. Have you? What do you have to do?

I didn't grow my own (for my tea business). That would require several certifications for growing, producing, etc. It would have been way too expensive and way to much bureaucracy to have to go through. I used a supplier (custom blender/private labeler.) But, if this had been for home/personal use, I would have at least tried to grow the Camellia. Pretty flowers, tasty leaves, what's not to like? :p
