Hello everybody!

I have some great news! I am closing on my new house at the end of this month. The good news is... it has a beautiful, and very plain, backyard. It is virtually a clean slate for me to get started on an edible landscape with a Permaculture design.

Here's what it looks like: http://mushroompatch.com/images/backyard/inthebeginning.jpg

There's more space behind the white garage which I will get pictures of when we actually start moving in this month.

I'm going to take measurements over the weekend so I can get started on a tentative layout. I'm going to rely heavily on this forum to guide me in the right direction.

I'm very excited!

I even have a wood shop in the garage along with a video/studio left by the owner! So over the winter I should be able to get the framework down for my chicken coop, greenhouse, water harvesting system...etc.

Stay tuned!

Just wondering if you've moved in yet?

Just in case you didn't know...we are completely moved in! I'm looking forward to building a greenhouse and raised bed gardens frames via the garage by spring! I absolutely have SPRING FEVER!

I areadly have 6 trees planted which is the top layer of the Permiculture Food Forest!

I have 2 pears, 2 apples, 1 plum and a black cherry tree. I am planing on 2-3 peaches/nectoreens in the spring to round it out. There will be :dwarf fruit trees, shrubs, herbs, ground cover, root as well as MUSHROOMS! I also got one frame for my raised bed 'greenhouse'..

Lots to do!
