Guinea pig poop

Can GP poop & bedding go directly on the garden? I have heard but don't know if it is true that rabbit poop can go straight onto the garden and I would think that GP poop is similar. Can someone enlighten me?

to the best of my knowledge, if the animal is entirely vegetarian/herbivorous, then the poop and bedding material (provided that it is of an organic nature - pine shreds, newspaper, etc) can go directly into compost pile (or garden if you wish. personally, I prefer my poop composted first.)

My pigs create a ton of poop each week and I have eyed teh bedding longingly for the garden as mulch as well as for the compost pile.
