Hello folks havent been around for a while. Finally got somewhat settled in Tennessee.
I need some advice about chicken negotiations.
We wintered 4 English Game fowl 2 cockerel and 2 pullets. Kept them inside till spring then let them run. They always came home to the chicken house.

Well everything was going fine small eggs but good ones. They seem pretty hardy and hardly need to feed or water them now although its always available.

Then I got four Rhode Island Red hens about the same age maybe a bit older, put them in a brooder hut we built for young chicks, keeping them there temporarily to see how to get the Reds with the Game hens.

We put one Red hen in with the four game fowl and to say the least they did not get along Red very submissive and the game fowl hens especially very aggressive.

Any suggestions on tactics to enhance the peace negotiations or do I need to get rid of one or the other.

Thanks
Alan

Old English Games... "game chickens"
are by breeding and selection, fighting stock
kept apart they are fine
Kept together... war

Not a social breed... I'm sorry to say (">
