Does anyone know what it takes to sell your homegrown goodies at your local farmer's market? Do you have to have a license as a food producer or some such thing? Or is it absolutely, perfectly acceptable to sell your produce grown on your city lot? I just don't know what it takes... and of course, it could vary from city to city. (don't worry, I've already left a note at my own city asking all this, too.) :p

It varies from city to city. Many times you do need a food licence. Please tell us what you find out for your city/state.

Hello Monidew

Asking Government was your first Mistake! LOL

Joel Salatin, the "Back to the Family Farm Guro/Author/Farmer" states that "It is better to ask forgiveness than permission."

I'm a firm believer in that.
