Have any of you ever used, tried, or currently use one of these planners to help you get your garden started?

I've not purchased one but I made my own in excel. I just put in the first and last frost dates and then list my veggies. Then next to each of the veggies I have it add or subtract from the frost dates to give me the sow/plant dates. It's easy enough to do and you don't end up with stuff on the list that you don't grow and you can add so much more to it.

Of course I found one in excel after I did all that work. You can find it here (http://www.yougrowgirl.com/grow/seedstartingchart_lazy.php).

It is easy enough to use and easy enough to add to it, also. If you want to do your own and you aren't excel savvy, my advice would be to download that file and have a look at it and how it calculates or just add to it. It is fairly simple to set up and you can customize it for your specific vegetables.

If you're lazy you can go here (http://www.chestnut-sw.com/growform.htm) and there is an online calculator that goes by dates alone.

I agree with Garden Green, that link is very helpful as well. I would like to make a chart that helped you calculate not only when to plant, but how much to plant for your usage, using Square Foot Gardening templates that would then graphically show you what you have like Abbey's garden plan.

Now that would be hot! I would love to develop that product someday.
