All I want for Christmas

I took my 4 year old granddaughter, Jordan, to see Santa today. We had been talking about how baby Jesus received 3 things for his birthday and I wanted her to think about 3 things that she would like Santa to bring for her. Guess what she asked for...a train, paint, and a shovel! Can you tell that she loves gardening already LOL.

My 4 year old drew a picture collage of all he wanted for Christmas. What we can make out is:

A rocket
A robot
Game books

So no gardening stuff for him. Of course he's already got tools and gloves. He looks so cute using them too!

My husband gave me the best gift of all: support!

He made a display of support of my gardening aspirations by giving me a hoe, cultivator, hand trowel, pruners, kneeling pad, and garden buddy (small wagon) for Christmas. He's been shopping for the building supplies with me, too. (walkway pavers, wood for building raised beds, etc.)

What a wonderful, supportive husband.

Ok, so what is a long handled cobra?

It's a weeder with a curved head that looks like a cobra's head. It usually has a short handle for hand work. It's great for those stubborn weeds with the tap roots.
