I am nearing retirement age, live in Northern Alberta, Canada. I keep 7 hens in my town yard, so far so good. We also raise much of our produce but grow only late May till end of September here.

Welcome! Glad you can raise hens and a bunch of produce in your short season. I too have a similarly short season and wish I had hens.

This year I am growing more to preserve more for the non-growing season.
