Hi, I've just discovered this website thru organic gardening magazine. I've never had a garden before so I'm jumping in with both feet this spring and doing a veggie garden. I look forward to eating the freshly picked veggies daily with my little girl this summer. I have a lot to learn and I'm excited to have found a website that is all about the kinds of things I want to learn about. I also knit and I'm working on learning to sew with my machine. Cheers!

Welcome! I was where you are this time last year. All I can say is do some research here and elsewhere and grow all you can. enjoy the process!

Welcome Chicagoland! I am trying to work with Clovers Garden Center or Gethsemane are they near you?

Hi Patti! I looked both of these up online and it seems I am no where near the Gethsemane one, which is too bad bc it looks nice. There are Clovers Garden Centers all over the area, including a few relatively near me. It's funny you should ask because I was just wondering what would be some reputable garden centers to go to as I am new at this whole thing and want to make sure I get quality soil, compost, mulch, etc for my garden. Are these good places? Thanks!

Welcome!:) This will be my second year and I enjoyed it so much that I'm going to build it bigger this year. I haven't knitted in years but I do crochet. Wish you luck on the new garden.
