SO...
Some friends of mine gave me some potato seeds (which came from a source they could not divulge... do NOT know why) to see if we could get any of them to germinate in our hydroponic system...
Well, they have, and now I've got maybe 2 viable seedlings. I'm going to let them get a little bigger before I transition them to soil, but my big question is what to do with them? Should I work under the assumption that they may not produce much more than a pretty plant, and not allot a chunk of my extremely limited (soil) garden space to them? (i've got seed potatoes that i'm sowing in less than a month). Do I put them in a container, just to see what happens? (and then keep whatever tubers appear as next year's stock)
Anyone else out there done potatoes from seed before???
