I am curious if someone around here has tried these. I have dry ones, should I plant them directly in soil? Sprout them first? Any recommendations?

I think it's cool that you're trying to grow these! I've never tried garbanzos, but for other peas/beans, they can go straight into the soil. A one-day head start wouldn't hurt, I don't think, but I don't see any reason to grow them all the way to transplant size. Transplanting might be too disturbing to their root systems, I don't know.

I am planning on doing: Garbanzo, Pink and Black Beans. I will do it directly to the soil. Not starting seedlings inside. They grow really fast!
