Hi everyone,

I live near Tucson Az. I bought a little 5 acre farm/ranch/wasteland and have decided to live on and off it. I have just got settled in so no garden yet.:(
It is already way over 100 F here everyday now so special preparations have to be made for summer gardening here. I am working on a green/shade house and hope to get an aquaponics setup when It is finished.

Wow what an incredible sunset! I am sure you will have many challenges I won't have to face here in Michigan. Kim

I must say, the scenery certainly is stunning! ENJOY your new ranch!

PS - have you heard of Dr Andrew Weil (founding father of integrative medicine?) He has a huge garden in Arizona. So does Dr Gabriel Cousens (renouned naturopath and founder of Tree of Life Rejuvenation Center) Perhaps one or both of them offers courses on how to garden in all that Arizona sunshine?

What a beautiful landscape! Aquaponics is a great idea. You can also get a lot of info from Native American practices. I'm thinking hot peppers are going to do great! Welcome and thanks for posting the pics.

It sounds challenging to garden in the desert. I look forward to hearing about your progress and commend you for your efforts!
