My chicks are two weeks old and growing fast. I'd better get that coop done pretty quickly! A lot of the contents of my basement garden are ready to be moved to an outside garden. I've been feeling guilty for getting such a late start this year but three hailstorms in the past week have convinced me that, this time, procratination paid off!
I've got three 8'x4' raised bed frames built and stained, just have to scrounge up some soil and I'll be almost ready! I'm building cages for them ala Patti's chicken tractor idea. Unfortunately, unlike her, I have to have one for each bed as two of my beds are in deer country and I'm hoping the cages will act as a deterrent. We'll see!
I've got pictures posted on my blog, if you'd like to take a look!
