    Smile Salutations from Central Colorado

(Although the locals call us "northern" Colorado.)

I'm Julie, aka ndc or Natural Design Chick. My family and I live in between Denver and Colorado Springs on 2.5 acres. We're on the side of a mountain, high desert, at 7400'. I have strong permaculture leanings and have been creating an edible forest garden. We're also in process of building a greenhouse this autumn. It will be just over 800 sq ft and I can't wait! Between the deer, bears, fox and coyote, it can be challenging to garden here. And that list doesn't include the lack of water. We average 12-15"/year.

I recently built two raised beds and a chicken tractor topper using Patti's awesome directions. (Details on my Knittlebits blog.)

I'm looking forward to sharing information with everyone on the forums.

Wow, what challenges you must have with so little rainfall! Good luck on your greenhouse and welcome to the forums!

Thanks for the greetings everyone. I'll start up a thread on the greenhouse so you can all see it evolve.
