    Question My Cherry tree

I've just been wondering, how long does it take for cherry trees to grow berries and massive leaves. Mine is very..dull. It's not very tall and not many leaves except this tiny ones. What should I do to help the tree grow or is it dead?

I would need more information and/or pictures to make an educated guess. All I can give is time line on my trees. Purchased dwarf varities in 2005 (2'-4' bareroot) we had cherries in 2007 with a full crop this last season. Our tree stands only 6' to 7' and thats as tall as will get. i fertilize once a season with an all natural fertilizer stake for plant maintenance. On my dwarf trees I prune out crossing branches and enough internal to keep the tree centers open for air flow. Not much to them, my only problem is the birds stealing the cherries.

    Hope that helps.
