    Default Newbie from Orlando

    Hi to all. Just wanting to start an urban "Victory Garden". We're in zone 9B and it's too late to really set anything this year... Already in the 90's.

    I've been very interested in starting some straw-bale gardening, but can't seem to find any clean straw around here. Alfalfa or timothy seems to be more available.

    We have a few veggies in containers right now - not enough, for sure.

    I'll be poking around now and again.

    Thanks for the introduction. Do you grow any other citrus or avocado or pineapple?
