    Default Fresh from the garden meals

    I've been eating fresh from the garden for some time this growing season and it has been delicious. My New and improved Perennial herb garden is thriving and I have 4 different kinds of arugula growing. Today for lunch I harvested a handful of all four kinds and layered the bottom of my plate with the greens then topped it with a wild rice from Trader Joes , capers and a homemade pesto sauce. It was delicious!

    oooooh, yumyum!! I love fresh from the garden meals!!! I made a fresh pesto sauce from my garden's basil, too. It was ladled over new baby red potatoes, also from my garden, which were steamed with fresh green beans from the farmers market. DELISH!

    More ideas:
    Last night's dinner was yellow squash and baby onions steamed together, with sliced tomatoes, a fresh cucumber salad, steamed baby new red potatoes, and French lentils laced with thyme.
