Sugar free cranberry sauce
Here is a simple but delicious recipe for sugar free cranberries. I decided to try this a few years ago when my husband was diagnosed with diabetes. So many people think it is so hard to make cranberries and this is what I am requested to bring whenever we are invited anywhere turkey is being served...and no one knows but me that it is sugar free (not even my husband).
1 package fresh cranberries
1 cup water
1 cup splenda
Sort cranberries and discard any that look off. Place in saucepan and add water and splenda. Bring to a boil. Once berries start to pop, turn down heat just enough so berries do not explode and cause accidental burns (medium heat usually). Cook 5 minutes, or until of desired consistency, stirring frequently to prevent burning.
