Default Pearl Farmer's Market in San Antonio

A new farmer's market is opening near downtown San Antonio. Its about a 45 minute drive for me and it was a great experience to visit this morning. The official opening is in 2 weeks, and it'll be the kind of place where you want to get there early. I bought: herbs, golden beets, red beets, peaches, green beans, broccoli, and strawberries.

It was interesting to me that much of what was for sale was either growing in my garden, or already harvested. That felt really good - it gave me some idea that my garden is really its own little farmer's market, and I don't have to find a parking place to visit!

I couldn't get both of these in the first post - so here is my day's purchases. Roasting the beets right now.
